Traffic: Fog reduces visibility to 30-150 meters on several roads

Partly wet roads are reported nationwide, with moderate traffic outside urban areas and no delays at border crossings. Fog has reduced visibility to 30-40 meters on the Tetovo-Popova Shapka road, 50-100 meters on the Delchevo-Pehchevo road, 100-150 meters on the Kumanovo-Kriva Palanka road and on the Gjavato and Preseka mountain passes, while visibility of up to 50 meters is reported on the Pletvar mountain pass.

Traffic: Fog reduces visibility to 30-150 meters on several roads

Skopje, 24 January 2026 (MIA) - Partly wet roads are reported nationwide, with moderate traffic outside urban areas and no delays at border crossings. Fog has reduced visibility to 30-40 meters on the Tetovo-Popova Shapka road, 50-100 meters on the Delchevo-Pehchevo road, 100-150 meters on the Kumanovo-Kriva Palanka road and on the Gjavato and Preseka mountain passes, while visibility of up to 50 meters is reported on the Pletvar mountain pass.

As of Nov. 15, 2025, winter equipment in vehicles is mandatory until Mar. 15, 2026.

Landslides are possible along the routes of Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully, adjust their speed to weather conditions and follow traffic rules, signs and signals.
