Skopje, 14 September 2021 (MIA) – The Government endorsed Tuesday a report on the development, realization and implementation of a specific information system for digitization of the tourism-hospitality sector (e-tourism). According to the Agency for Tourism Promotion and Support, the goal of this information system for digitization of a portion of the services in the tourism sector is development of a national digital tool for collection of data of providers of accommodation services, as well as check-in and check-out of tourists by accommodation service providers over the Internet, the Government said in a press release. The e-tourism platform will offer options for calculation and control of taxes based on the tourists’ check-in and check-out, and data on individual accommodation capacities, as well as reporting on real-time statistical data on a daily basis or within a 24-hour interval.
