Toshkovski in Montenegro meets with BiH security minister Nešić

Skopje, 29 October 2024 (MIA) -- On the sidelines of the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Forum on Justice and Home Affairs taking place in Budva, Montenegro, on Oct. 28-29, Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski met Tuesday with Bosnia and Herzegovina's Minister of Security Nenad Nešić.
"At the meeting, we acknowledged the excellent cooperation between the two ministries, which has recently intensified through all international and regional channels as part of Interpol standards," Toshkovski wrote in a Facebook post.
The interior minister said the cooperation included timely and efficient exchange of operational information and prompt processing of requests sent by both countries for different checks regarding organized crime.
Other discussion topics were illegal migration and tackling challenges on the Western Balkans route, Toshkovski wrote.
He also announced that the two countries, at the initiative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will soon sign a forensic cooperation protocol to exchange professional experiences, provide support, educate staff, and do related research. mr/
