Toshkovski, Bushi, Bojmacaliev meet with Albanian Ambassador Reka

Skopje, 23 February 2024 (MIA) — Caretaker Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski, Deputy Interior Minister Nazim Bushi and Additional Deputy Interior Minister Mitko Bojmacaliev held a working meeting Friday with Albania's Ambassador Fatos Reka, the Interior Ministry said in a press release.
At the meeting, Interior Minister Toshkovski thanked Ambassador Reka on the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries' Ministries of Interior and on the cooperation with the Albanian Embassy in particular.
Toshkovski gave special thanks for Albania's understanding for North Macedonia's current problem with replacing old name personal documents, the press release says.
Ambassador Reka also gave thanks for the intense cooperation in many areas, especially in the fight against organized crime across borders.
He expressed his confidence that the cooperation would continue developing in the future, along the way to the countries' full membership in the European Union.
Additional Deputy Minister Bojmacaliev thanked Albanian authorities for the cooperation in fighting against illegal drug trafficking. He also thanked Albania for the excellent organization of the Berlin Process Summit in Tirana.
Bojmacaliev thanked Reka also for Albania's signing the bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of culture, which made it possible for a large number of stolen icons to be returned from Albania to North Macedonia. mr/
