Bucharest, 5 August 2023 (dpa/MIA) - Three people have died in severe storms in Slovenia, reports said on Saturday.

Two Dutch climbers died on Friday in the mountains near Kranj, presumably as a result of being struck by lightning, STA news agency reported, citing police.

Also on Friday, a woman died due to flooding in the town of Kamnik, 20 kilometres north of the capital Ljubljana, according to the report.

Police were investigating the exact causes of death in all three cases.
