Skopje, 5 September 2025 (MIA) – The 8 September state award for lifetime achievements and outstanding achievements in sport will be presented Friday at a ceremony in Parliament.

The 2025 lifetime achievement award will be presented to Joshko Milenkovski for his outstanding contribution to the development of sports and to affirming and promoting the country internationally.

Also, other recipients of 8 September recognitions include Hamid Bakija, Zoran Nikolovski, Viktor Tevchev and Kiril Manev – athletes, coaches and sports professionals that have left a mark in Macedonian sports.

The awards are presented by the 8 September award board, which organized the annual ceremony on the eve of Independence Day – 8 September.
