TAV: Air Serbia to reinstate Belgrade – Ohrid flight as of June 2023

Skopje, 31 January 2023 (MIA) – Air Serbia will restore flights between Belgrade and Ohrid as of June 2023, said TAV Macedonia, following announcement from the carrier.

Ohrid will be connected to Belgrade every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, as of June 5, 2023.

“As an airline operator, TAV always welcomes airline companies’ decisions to instate or reinstate airlines and flights. We are happy that St Paul the Apostle Airport in Ohrid will reinstate this airline after stopping it in 2017. This airline will open new destinations for our citizens because Air Serbia flies to over 70 destinations in Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, Asia and Africa, an added advantage for our passengers,” according to TAV General Director, Metin Batak.

Tickets for this airline are on sale and can be booked on Air Serbia’s website, https://www.airserbia.com/en/destinations/flights-to-ohrid.

as well as Air Serbia’s Android and iOS app.

“Air Serbia will add 20+ new destinations in 2023, and we are pleased to announce that Ohrid is among them. These flights will give passengers from the region and Europe a chance to experience cultural and historical places and attractions in Ohrid,” said Boško Rupić, Air Serbia General Director of Commercial Affairs and Strategies.

TAV Macedonia expects a busy summer season and 2023 to be a year of full post-pandemic recovery thanks to the new airline from St Paul the Apostle airport, and the announced new airlines from Skopje International Airport. The company also adds that both Macedonian airports ended 2022 with a significant recovery of air passenger traffic, reaching nearly 2,4 million passengers on 19,448 flights.

“Eleven airlines fly out from Skopje International Airport – Air Serbia, Austrian Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Edelweiss, Chair Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Turkish Airlines, LOT, Aegean, Wizz Air, Easyjet to 36 destinations, and 2 airlines – Wizz Air and Chair Airlines fly out from St Paul the Apostle Airport in Ohrid to 4 destinations,” according to TAV Macedonia. dk/nn/
