Skopje, 11 September 2024 (MIA) - The nine new drugs on the positive list will be available to patients free of charge in pharmacies as of September 16, said Minister of Health Arben Taravari on Wednesday.
"We have developed a platform together with the World Health Organization (WHO) that will ensure transparency of the entire process and the future enlargement of the list. We would like this enlargement to be more transparent and comprehensive, thus reduce expenses for our patients and citizens," Minister Taravari told reporters.
He guaranteed that another one, two or three drugs would be added in every 3-4 months.
"This is a revolution of problems that have not been resolved for a decade. The last positive list was released in 2009 with one drug added in 2014, and now nine more in just 50 days. I am happy that WHO is our partner and we will try to abide by the platform and the recommendations they give," said Taravari.
