Pristina, 19 May 2024 (MIA) - Gostivar Mayor and one of the Worth It coalition leaders, Arben Taravari, says ethnic Albanians will have a parliament speaker and six ministers in the new government, MIA reports from Pristina.
Taravari told Kosovo national broadcaster RTK that the Worth It coalition will be represented by professionals in the next executive.
"I believe we will hold one of the three top posts in the country, namely an ethnic Albanian as parliament speaker and a significant number of ministers. I believe we will be represented by professionals," says Taravari.
According to him, the Parliament will be constituted by the end of May and expects the new Government to be elected in the first half of June.
"The Parliament is to be constituted by the end of May and we will probably agree on the government programme and the cabinet nominees by the end of next week. Once the Parliament is constituted, the President will give the mandate to the PM-designate and we will have the new government in the first half of June," notes Taravari.
He adds that the coalition partners agreed on the government's priorities - EU accession, uncompromising fight against crime and corruption, and rule of law.
