Skopje, 20 January 2023 (MIA) – The measures proposed by the Alliance for Albanians (AA) regarding the rule of law and an uncompromising fight against corruption were the topic of discussion at Friday’s meeting between party leader Arben Taravari and United States Ambassador to North Macedonia, Angela Price Aggeler.

AA leader Taravari wished the Ambassador Aggeler a successful return to Skopje, with the hopes that the meeting will mark the beginning of a close cooperation aimed at deepening and expanding the relations between the two countries, the party said in a press release.

“I thanked Ambassador Aggeler for the unwavering support of the US for our country, especially over our Euro-Atlantic integration, and her personal commitment to rooting out corruption, holding the corrupt accountable and fighting against the culture of impunity. We discussed the measures proposed by AA as part of our program for the rule of law and an uncompromising fight against corruption, and agreed on the urgency of taking concrete initiatives to that end,” said Taravari.

Taravari and Aggeler agreed that North Macedonia’s EU integration is the only option which guarantees progress, prosperity and stability, and that it requires the pro-European forces not to allow a deviation from this course and to assume responsibility without delay “so that we don’t miss our chance and successfully complete this vital process for the future generations.” ad/ik/
