Skopje, 20 June 2022 (MIA) – The issue of early elections is not closed for the VMRO-DPMNE-led coalition and the majority of citizens. We will have a summer of protests and an active blockade of the Parliament. Further steps will take place in the fall and the Government is responsible for all of this, says VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski. Mickoski told TV24 they will protest on the streets, in neighborhoods, in front of institutions. He says they want snap elections and deleting the ‘caretaker government’ provision in the Electoral Code. “There is no instant success, I promise a fight and I promise victory, a big triumph. Opinion polls show that VMRO-DPMNE is close to a majority in the Parliament,” says Mickoski. According to him, the Government is doing nothing to reduce the effects of the economic, energy and security crisis.
