Students’ march to pay tribute to children killed in Bulgaria bus accident
Skopje, 24 November 2021 (MIA) – Elementary school students from the Skopje Municipality of Chair held Wednesday a march in the capital as a show of respect to their fellow students, who were killed in yesterday’s bus accident in Bulgaria.
At least 45 passengers, including 12 children, were killed on the Struma highway.
Unofficially, five students from the Skopje school perished.
By marching from their school to the Skenderbeg square, the students said they wanted to commemorate their friends.
Furthermore, the Council of the Municipality of Chair decided at a session Wednesday to award financial assistance to the families whose relatives lost their lives in the deadly accident in Bulgaria. The assistance is estimated at 1,200,000 denars (close to EUR 20,000).
