Steinmeier to visit North Macedonia next week
Skopje, 23 November 2022 (MIA) – German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is visiting North Macedonia from November 29 to December 1.
According to the German President’s official website, the trip is to focus on the situation in the region, the impact of Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine and Germany's ongoing support for the country’s EU accession perspectives.
This is Federal President Steinmeier's first visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
Political talks are planned in the capital Skopje on November 29 and 30 inter alia with President Pendarovski and Prime Minister Kovachevski, and the Federal President is due to address parliament. Furthermore, the Federal President is to meet young people at the Presidential Center for Political Education, talk to filmmakers about the North Macedonian film Honeyland and visit the country's first wind park in Bogdanci.
