Skopje, 22 August 2023 (MIA) – Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM) is fully prepared for the new heating season. Repair activities are underway, we expect them to be completed somewhere around the end of September – beginning of October, which will put all of ESM’s capacities in operation, said the head of ESM, Vasko Stefanov on Tuesday.

Stefanov said he expects the price of heating to be known at the beginning or the middle of September.

The director of ESM said he hopes the Government assistance will continue, so that "ESM can work productively in the interest of the citizens."

“We expect the Energy Regulatory Commission to do its job in line with the deadlines, i.e., come out with a price. Our relations with Balkan Energy Group are fair. Currently, I think debtor-creditor relations are underway, and I hope that everything will work out as it should in the end. I expect that we will have the price of heating somewhere around the beginning or the middle of September,” said the head of ESM, in answer to a journalist’s question.
