Skopje, 2 October 2023 (MIA) - A delegation of the Steering Group for Democratic Development of the Swedish Riksdag is paying a visit to North Macedonia's Parliament on Monday and Tuesday. 

Co-Chair on the Macedonian side of the Steering Group, Fadil Zendeli, as well as Co-Chair and Third Deputy Speaker in the Riksdag, Kerstin Lundgren, will adddress the meeting. 

DOM MP Maja Morachanin, VMRO-DPMNE MP Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and the Swedish Green Party PM Camilla Hansén will address the first session on fight against corruption and measures to deal with corruption. 

President of the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption Biljana Ivanovska and Ombudsman Naser Ziberi will give presentations at the first session.    

President of the National Council for European Integration, Aleksandar Nikoloski, and Swedish Liberal Party MP, Joar Forssell, will open the afternoon session dedicated to North Macedonia's European integration. 

The afternoon session will be followed by a debate on the current political situation in the two parliaments. DUI MP Arbana Pasholi, VMRO-DPMNE MP Dafina Stojanoska, the Swedish Left Party MP Jessica Wetterling and Social Democratic Party Kenneth G. Forslund will address the debate.  

The Parliament's Secretary General Cvetaka Ivanova is to give an address on Tuesday.
