Skopje, 30 August 2024 (MIA) - Sport Minister Borko Ristovski presented Friday a new state-funded program for subsidizing high-level sports, which, he said, will include all sports federations and clubs competing in Europe.
Ristovski said the Ministry will publish a call for subsidies next week that will be open to all federations and teams competing in Europe, with Mden 85 million planned for the measure.
In accordance with the National Sport Strategy, the Minister said most funding will go to the four federations that bring the most success.
“From now on Macedonia will live in a different financial world, with a different financial assistance in sports, which will mean investing in sports, investing in young people and in high-level sports. We won’t forget any branches. The goal is to develop high-level sport and provide support to the country’s young talents,” Ristovski said.
