Skopje, 3 May 2023 (MIA) – Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi will participate in the 61st Plenary Session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) on Thursday and Friday in Ankara, Türkiye.

In a press release, Parliament said Xhaferi’s participation is upon the invitation of PABSEC President Mustafa Şentop.

Parliament’s delegation at the Assembly will consist of MPs Lidija Tasevska, Vjollca Ademi and Blagica Lesovska, as well as Parliament’s Secretary General, Cvetanka Ivanova.

In the role of special guest, Xhaferi will address the PABSEC 30th Anniversary Summit of the Speakers of Parliaments on the topic “30th Anniversary of PABSEC: Common Geography, Common Vision, Common Future”. The same session will be addressed by Mustafa Şentop, PABSEC President and Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, as well as Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and other guests.

According to the program, at the event, the speakers of parliaments of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) member states will adopt a joint statement, and a PABSEC Medal of Honor will be awarded.
