Skopje, 25 November 2022 (MIA) – Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi received Friday the Doctor Honoris Causa title at the Tirana-based Qiriazi University College on occasion of its 100th anniversary. Speaker Xhaferi is given the title for his outstanding contribution in the promotion of Albanian language, freedom and rights of Albanians in North Macedonia, statehood values in the protection of national identity and his spiritual ties with the icons of education in Albanian language, Parashqevi Qiriazi and Kristo Dako. “This is a recognition for many people who have invested efforts into building and promoting our status, be it political or social, beyond the borders of Albania, and it is dedicated to all my fellow journeymen on this path, but also for the challenges that lie ahead,” said Xhaferi.
