Skopje, 19 November 2021 (MIA) – Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi met Friday with visiting Polish President Andrzej Duda and expressed gratitude for Warsaw’s continued support to Skopje’s European integration process. “Following our NATO membership, European integration remains our key strategic priority as the only alternative for the country’s future,” said Speaker Xhaferi. President Duda said Poland has always supported North Macedonia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and thanked the country for its role in the migrant crisis, while adding that the Polish border police have implemented the experiences obtained here. Interlocutors also agreed on the significance of parliamentary diplomacy, which encourages governments to foster direct and specific cooperation, the Parliament said in a press release.
