Skopje, 8 April 2023 (MIA) - Representatives of the Roma community in the country should perceive this day as validation by the state, institutions and fellow citizens that you are an integral part of the society, says Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi in the note congratulating International Romani Day on Saturday.

Speaher Xhaferi says Roma provide important contribution in North Macedonia's efforts for full-fledged membership in the European family.

"Let 2023 be a year of changes for the better of all citizens, let this be a year when the Roma community finds its path to a better life and comprehensive integration in society. Our obligation as a state is to stand by you every step of the way," notes Xhaferi.
