Skopje, 23 October 2023 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi extended congratulations on October 23 – the Day of the Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle.  

Xhaferi says the memory of the old battles that have led us to what we are now, should be a reminder and a teacher for the new daily battles we fight as citizens of a modern, democratic, progressive and safe Republic of North Macedonia. 

"On behalf of the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia and on my own behalf, I extend congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday October 23 - the Day of the Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle. This day is a monument to the revolutionary idea that lasted through battles in which many laid down their lives. Because they knew that revolution is the intersection between the future and the past. They believed in a free, independent and progressive state in which everyone will be able to build their future and the future of their young generations with pride and dignity. It required and still requires sacrifice, faith and vision in order to enjoy in the future the fruits of the battles throughout history. May the memory of the old battles that have led us to what we are now be a reminder and our teacher for the new daily battles we fight in life together and united as citizens of a modern, democratic, progressive and safe Republic of North Macedonia," says Speaker Xhaferi congratulating October 23 – the Day of the Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle.
