Skopje, 11 October 2023 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi in a message on Wednesday, on the occasion of October 11 – National Uprising Day, called for unity in defence of a dignified and quality life for all, as well as in defence of a stable and secure future for future generations.

“Today, when the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia enjoy the graces offered by freedom and the free expression of thoughts, attitudes and points of view, we cannot ignore the sacrifices, the stake and, above all, the ideals that led all those known and unknown heroes who never hesitated for a moment to stand on the right side, on the side of justice, on the side of good against evil. With a clear goal, they embarked on a determined fight against fascism, against occupation, violence, divisions, humiliation and discrimination between people. That battle was won, but, unfortunately, the battles continue every day in other dimensions of life and the challenge is getting bigger every day. Always united and unique, as citizens and as human beings, let us always stand up for the dignified and equally good and quality life for all. Always in defence of a stable and secure future for future generations,” Xhaferi stressed.
