Skopje, 18 May 2023 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi is participating on Thursday and Friday at the X plenary session of the South-East European Cooperation Process Parliamentary Assembly (SEECP PA), organized in Budva by the Montenegrin Chairmanship-in-Office. 

Xhaferi, who is heading a delegation which includes MP Martin Kostovski, is set to address the tenth jubilee session of the initiative, the Parliament said in a press release. 

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the SEECP PA, which is also the main theme of the event.

Before the plenary session, sessions will be held by the three General Committees - on Economy, Infrastructure and Energy, on Justice, Home Affairs and Security Cooperation, as well as the Committee on Social Development, Education, Research and Science will hold sessions. The Standing Committee will also hold a session.

In addition, a declaration is to be adopted at the plenary session. 

The Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East European Cooperation Process was established on 10 May 2014, at an Inaugural Session held in Bucharest. Ever since, it has been established as a permanent parliamentary forum for exchange of experience, dialogue and cooperation. 

North Macedonia takes over the SEECP Chairmanship-in-Office for one year on 1 July 2023.
