Skopje, 19 February 2024 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Jovan Mitreski will hold Monday a regular coordination meeting with party whips, discussing the date for the plenary session on election of a member of the State Election Commission (SEC).

Abdush Demiri of the parties from the European Bloc for Change is the candidate who has received the support from the Parliament's Election and Appointment Issues.

Demiri's election requires a two-thirds majority.

The SEC spot has been vacant for months after Krenar Lloga was elected Justice Minister.
