Speaker Gashi meets Kosovo President Osmani Sadriu

Skopje, 13 June 2024 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi met Thursday with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, sharing the view that both countries have open dialogue and constructive bilateral relations, while agreeing there is always room for enhancement of cooperation in all fields.
Speaker Gashi reaffirmed the support for Kosovo's membership in international organizations, adding that EU integration is the merging point of all countries in the region, the Parliament said in a press release.
President Osmani Sadriu wished Speaker Gashi success in the post and thanked him for the cooperation in the capacity of head of the Kosovo Friendship Group during his last term as MP.
She said support from regional countries for Kosovo's membership in international organizations is very significant, saying NATO membership of regional countries is an investment in stability, as shown by the membership of Albania and North Macedonia.
In addition, Gashi expressed satisfaction that Kosovo is among North Macedonia's most significant trade partners and a leading exporting market, while noting the importance of projects for improved infrastructure networking and facilitation of bilateral communication through enlarged capacities at border crossings, reads the press release.
