Skopje, 25 May 2023 (MIA) — The Interior Ministry has not received reports of bomb threats in schools or other institutions recently, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said in a response to a reporter's question Thursday.

Spasovski pointed out that North Macedonia was the first country in the Western Balkans to have adopted new guidelines for dealing with hybrid threats.

"We adopted protocols, being the only country in the region adapting these protocols to the new times and trends. Before, we worked with protocols from the 1990s or from former Yugoslavia. Times are different now," Spasovski said.

He added that police readiness was at a higher level than it used to be and the situation was being monitored. mr/
