Skopje, 25 August 2023 (MIA) — Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski met Friday with Minister without portfolio Zoran Miljanić during a working visit to Podgorica, Montenegro.

According to the Interior Ministry in a press release, they discussed promoting the successful bilateral cooperation by intensifying operational cooperation in several areas, such as the fight against illegal migration, organized crime and corruption, terrorism and cybercrime.

"The two ministers agreed that regional cooperation was a crucial factor for a successful fight against such issues, and that implementing protocols from the Police Cooperation Convention for Southeast Europe agreement produced good results, in addition to joint participation in regional initiatives.

"They also highlighted the alliance within NATO, as a guarantee for regional security," the release adds. ssh/mr
