Spasovski: Intensive support for continued improvement of living conditions of Macedonians in Mala Prespa
Skopje, 16 July 2021 (MIA) – The Government will continue to intensively support the continued improvement of living conditions of Macedonians in Mala Prespa, said Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski during a visit to Pustec municipality in Albania on Friday. Minister Spasovski, accompanied by Ambassador to Tirana, Dancho Markovski, and hosted by Albanian MP of the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration Vasil Sterjovski and Pustec Mayor Pali Kolefski, paid a visit to the kindergarten within the local primary/secondary school, where they handed over a donation of toys, props and gifts for the children, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. The donation has been provided by Prilep-based company “Vitaminka”. Last year’s reconstruction of the school was completed as a result of the personal engagement of North Macedonia and Albania’s Prime Ministers, Zoran Zaev and Edi Rama respectively. Today’s donation marks the completion of the project that is of enormous significance for the municipality of Pustec. Minister Spasovski said the Government would continue to support Macedonians living in Albania. “We discussed possibilities for realization of new infrastructure and utility projects in the interest of the population in Prespa. The support will continue, including the 24-hour operation of border crossing Trebishte-Xhepisht, which is set to open in about 20 days, thus enhancing economic, cultural and political cooperation,” noted Spasovski. Hosts expressed their satisfaction from the Government’s openness for cooperation in recent years, reads the press release.
