Spasovski: Efficient operational cooperation with EUROPOL continues
Skopje, 29 September 2022 (MIA) – Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski met Thursday in the Hague with the Executive Director of Europol, Catherine De Bolle and discussed Ministry of Interior’s active contribution in preparation of the EU Serious and Organised Crime Threats Assessment (SOCTA) report, based on which the Council of the EU sets out the priorities in the fight against serious and organised crime. In a Facebook post, Spasovski wrote that the cooperation is continuously strengthened and demonstrates our efforts in the promotion of international police cooperation, as one of the priorities for contributing to security and stability in our region, as well as in the countries of the European Union and globally. He expressed his gratitude to Executive Director De Bolle, noting cooperation with EUROPOL will intensify in the coming period, through continued active participation in the current activities of the Agency, with our country contributing with all available capacities. During his two-day visit to the Hague, Minister Spasovski will attend presentations by experts from Europol on activities of the Operational Centers, and he will also visit the office of the Republic of North Macedonia in Europol, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. Moreover, Minister Spasovski is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Deputy Director-General for International Migration in the Ministry of Justice and Security, Eeuwke Faber and to meet with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of North Macedonia in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Benno Friedberg.
