Spasovski: Digital transformation a fundamental reality of present

Ohrid, 31 October 2023 (MIA) - Digital transformation process does not only depict implementing new technologies and tools in the work process, it also puts people and their needs in the focus, in order to facilitate daily obligations and ensure quicker access to all services that we as a public sector provide for the citizens. Therefore, digitalization will not only benefit technology, but humans as well, Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski said in his address at the Second Global Summit on the digitization of the judiciary held in Ohrid on Tuesday.

"The Ministry of Interior promptly saw the need for digital transformation of society, and the ministry as well, and responsibly and dynamically approached its practical implementation in the transformation of our society into a digital society. Shortly afterwards, the ministry created software solutions and web services, providing 93 services for individuals and legal entities through the national portal, and is currently working on 40 more services, most of them electronic, that are yet to be approved, verified and implemented into the national portal," said Spasovski and added that the ministry is continually working on digitizing its internal processes.

Minister Spasovski noted that digital transformation is a fundamental reality of the present and the future, for businesses, public sector and institutions that have to be prepared to digitize their processes and services, taking into account daily dynamic life and the needs of citizens, adding that only when those institutions keep up with challenges of the new age they will start benefiting society and citizens.

More than 200 participants – judges, prosecutors, attorneys, representatives of IT companies, state bodies and institutions, as well as guests from 32 countries from Europe and beyond, are participating in the Second Global Summit on the digitization of the judiciary. ssh/ik/
