Skopje, 27 April 2024 (MIA) – SDSM’s list principal in the second election district, Oliver Spasovski underscored Saturday in a media statement before the Parliament, that we must not forget and must not allow a repetition of April 27, the darkest day in the history of Macedonian democracy.
“The images and footage from the bloody events, which we are reminding of today in front of the Macedonian Parliament, should remain a testament to the consequences of the right-wing regime of VMRO-DPMNE. Perpetrators, incited by VMRO-DPMNE, stormed the Parliament, seeking to kill MPs, injure journalists, and parliamentary staff, and disrupt the constitutional order,” Spasovski stated.
According to him, the announcements of pardoning the individuals who stormed the Parliament "are scandalous and unacceptable, showing that nothing has changed in VMRO-DPMNE."
“April 27 serves as a grave and bloody reminder of how easily a dangerous regime can plunge a nation into crisis. We must not forget, and we must not give up the fight for freedom, democracy, justice, and fairness,” Spasovski said, urging support for his party and coalition in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
