Skopje, 22 July 2021 (MIA) – Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski met Thursday with new Serbian Ambassador to North Macedonia Nevena Jovanović. The two highlighted the excellent cooperation between the Ministries of Interior of North Macedonia and Serbia, as well as the cooperation in general, especially in the area of culture and economy. Talks particularly focused on continuing the excellent cooperation in the area of migration, as well as successful activities in the prevention of illegal entry of migrants and the fight against migrant smuggling, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. In addition, Minister Spasovski thanked Ambassador Jovanović for the assistance and support North Macedonia received from Serbia during the COVID-19 pandemic, voicing confidence that protection of the citizens of both countries is only possible through building common policies.
