Sotirovski-Sheikh Issa: Open cooperation and mutual familiarization for strong global society of progress and peace
Skopje, 12 August 2021 (MIA) – Commission for Relations with Religious Communities Director Darijan Sotirovski met Thursday with Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League. Director Sotirovski briefed Sheikh Issa on the values of the Macedonian society, inclusive policies and democratic environment where religious freedoms and rights are broadly respected. Interlocutors also discussed the global challenges amid the rising religious radicalism. They saluted the Muslim World League’s role in promoting the authentic form of moderate Islam that focuses on tolerance, dialogue and cooperation among cultures and faiths across the globe.
