Skopje, 29 October 2021 (MIA) - State-owned electricity producer ESM is set to install a solar power system on the rooftop of Skopje’s GTC shopping center. The photovoltaic system will produce green energy in the heart of the city, ESM said in a press release on Friday. The project is an investment in new, renewable sources of energy and aims to achieve sustainable development, as well as lower the negative environmental impact by making use of the business building’s rooftop. ESM and GTC heads, Vasko Kovachevski and Gjoko Trajchevski, have signed a memorandum of cooperation. The implementation of the Energy Development Strategy 2021-2025 and energy transformation by expanding the production capacities of renewable energy sources, and solar power in particular, is one of ESM’s top priorities, the press release read.
