- Macedonian actor Snezhana Stameska has died at 78, the Drama Theater said Sunday.
Skopje, 8 September 2024 (MIA) — Macedonian actor Snezhana Stameska has died at 78, the Drama Theater said Sunday.
Stameska, a leading star of stage and screen, was known as one of the most important Macedonian actors of her era.
Born in 1946, she graduated from the Theater Academy in Belgrade in 1970 and worked at the Drama Theater from 1971 until her retirement in 2010. Over her career, she played more than seventy theater roles.
Stameska also appeared in numerous TV and film roles, including "Wild Flesh" (1979), "Trieste via Skopje" (1987), "Happy New '49" (1985), and "Weekend of the Dead" (1985).
The funeral will be held at the Butel City Cemetery in Skopje on Monday, Sept. 9. mr/
