Skopje, 1 December 2024 (MIA) — The Slovenian Center in Skopje will hold a holiday event dedicated to Slovenia's national Potica sweet bread at the Gjorche Petrov Cultural Center on Sunday evening.

"Slovenia has a rich culinary tradition, especially during the holidays. Potica is part of that culinary heritage that is passed down the generations," organizers said in a press release.

"With this event, we want, as Slovenians in Macedonia, to present this Slovenian holiday pastry traditionally prepared for Christmas and every celebration in Slovenia.

"We inherited it from our grandmothers, grandfathers, mothers and fathers and we are passing it down to our children," organizers said. mr/
