Skopje, 6 June 2023 (MIA) – The government at its Tuesday’s session reviewed and adopted the report of the office of Prime Minister related to the initiative for establishment of hybrid youth innovation centres nationwide, submitted by the association of the startup community of the Republic of North Macedonia ‘Startup Macedonia’ and the international civil association of citizens ‘Cultural Echoes-Skopje.’

Under the government’s decision, at the proposal of the Office of the Prime Minister, activities will begin to establish a mixed institution between the government and association of the startup community of the Republic of North Macedonia ‘Startup Macedonia’ and the international civil association of citizens ‘Cultural Echoes-Skopje.’

This institution will contribute to the affirmation and use of the capacity of young people, their ideas and creativity, as a reflection of the government's commitment to keep successful personnel in our country, through the opportunities to realize their capacities in the country, such as examples in Ljubljana, Tirana, Strasbourg, Pristina.

The process includes the establishment of a multifunctional and interdisciplinary park, which will contribute to increasing the offer of cultural and educational content, training for business development and artistic expression, as well as other activities, with the aim of creating conditions for young people who want to start their own business, but they do not have sufficient financial and logistical support for its realization.

Vasko Kichevski, the secretary for public policies, coordination and monitoring of the government's programme and other strategic plans, projects and investments, related to the priorities of the Prime Minister, has been appointed as the coordinator of the activities related to the activities for the establishment of this institution.
