Skopje, Belgrade and Tirana to open mutual borders for a day at Kovachevski’s initiative

Bardolino, 2 April 2023 (MIA) - At the initiative of Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, all borders between the Open Balkan countries will be opened for one day.

At the joint press conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on Sunday in Bardolino, Italy, PM Kovachevski said that the goal is to see what it looks like to cross borders as if there were no borders.

Serbian President Vučić confirmed that on Kovachevski's initiative, a day will be set when the borders between the three countries will be opened.

Prime Minister Kovacevski assessed today's trilateral meeting dedicated to the Open Balkan as very fruitful and emphasized that he shared the calendar of activities that North Macedonia will organize this year within the framework of the initiative, which include a meeting of small-scale food producers from the three countries and an air show in Skopje.
