Siljanovska-Davkova to present U.S. Major-General Gregory Knight with Order of Military Merit

Skopje, 9 December 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is set to present an Order of Military Merit to the Adjutant General of the Vermont National Guard, U.S. Major-General Gregory Knight at a ceremony Tuesday.
Major-General Knight, according to the President’s Office, is set to receive an Order of Military Merit for his special contribution to deepening Macedonian-U.S. friendship and military cooperation, which has resulted in numerous activities aimed at strengthening the capacities and increasing the combat readiness of the Macedonian army.

Major-General Knight is on an official visit to the country on Dec 9-11.
According to the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, as part of his visit, Major-General Knight is expected to meet with the Army Chief of Staff, Major-General Sashko Lafchiski, and Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski.
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski will also meet the Adjutant General of the Vermont National Guard.
Major-General Knight is also expected to visit the Skopje-based Military Academy "General Mihajlo Apostolski”, where he is scheduled to meet with the Academy’s leadership.
