Siljanovska Davkova kicks off official visit to Montenegro

Podgorica, 28 November 2024 (MIA) – President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova was welcomed in Cetinje on Thursday with the highest state and military honors by Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović, kicking off her two-day official visit to Montenegro.
Following the welcome ceremony, where the national anthems of North Macedonia and Montenegro were performed, the two presidents held a tête-à-tête meeting, focusing on the European integration processes of both countries and regional cooperation as a key prerequisite for maintaining stability and promoting greater economic prosperity in the Western Balkans.
As part of the visit, Siljanovska Davkova and Milatović will plant a tree of friendship in the courtyard of the President of Montenegro’s residence.
On the first day of the visit, President Siljanovska Davkova will meet with the Speaker of Montenegrin Parliament, Andrija Mandić, in Podgorica.
Diplomatic ties between North Macedonia and Montenegro were established on June 14, 2006.
