Shtip, 22 April 2024 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE’s presidential candidate Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, addressed Monday evening the citizens of Shtip, assuring them that the upcoming celebrations on April 24 and May 8 will be joyously observed in all squares. She emphasized the importance of preserving Macedonia's proud heritage, stating that the homeland remains unchanged and must be safeguarded for future generations.
Speaking about political opponents, she said that the state cannot benefit from someone who lacks their own stance, someone who always agrees before being asked.
"The first prime minister, the second prime minister, the informal prime minister, Mr. Ahmeti, they all do the same with everyone outside. We shouldn't make idols out of international representatives, we should be diplomats, but still, we have the right, even though we live in a small, beautiful country, to expose and defend our state and national interests," Siljanovska Davkova said.
"It depends on you what will happen on April 24. I said I expect a political earthquake, and on May 8, a volcano. Then the Macedonian waters will calm down, and we will peacefully embark on democratic changes," Siljanovska Davkova noted.
"Go out and vote against this conspiracy against Macedonia. We don't have an alternative homeland, and we will respond by marking number 2 and voting for Professor Gordana Siljanovska Davkova. Let's welcome the future President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova," VMRO-DPMNE leader, Hristijan Mickoski, said in Shtip.
He also addressed the youth and emphasized that he doesn't accept the claim that they are disinterested in politics. Instead, he stated that he more readily accepts the notion that they are disillusioned by the factors shaping their future through politics.
"Support us, and I promise you that we will not disappoint you. Give a chance to the energy that brings change and a new way of working. I tell you to join us, and together from within, let's change things together," Mickoski said.
VMRO-DPMNE list principal in the third election district, Dragan Kovachki added that VMRO-DPMNE has a plan of action and a specific offer outlined in the ‘Platform 1198’ program where people come first. At the final rally of VMRO-DPMNE for the first round of presidential elections in front of the people of Shtip, the candidates for MPs, Dushko Ivanov and Nikola Micevski, also delivered addresses.
