Siljanovska Davkova: Christmas holidays strengthen hope and faith, reminding us of humanity's pressing need for kindness

Skopje, 6 January 2026 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova extended a greeting on the great Christian holiday of Christmas, wishing that the divine peace of God resides within every Orthodox home, filling it with God's blessings.

"The Nativity of Christ, even after more than two millennia, inspires us with immeasurable love and infinite kindness, harmony and peace, reminding us of giving unconditional help, support and comfort to all those who need it," said President Siljanovska Davkova.

This year too, adds the President, the Christmas holidays strengthen our hope and faith, reminding us of humanity's pressing need for kindness.

She urges faithful to rejoice in life and contribute to the good of the community.

"May we open our hearts wide to all our neighbors, and being thus united in communion, may we create and build the well-being of the Macedonian society," President Siljanovska Davkova said in her Christmas greeting to all Orthodox faithful, Archbishop Stefan, Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, and Emil Zaev, President of the Evangelical Methodist Church.
