Siljanovska Davkova and Western Balkan leaders meet with EU’s Borrell in New York

New York, 25 September 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, who is leading the Macedonian delegation at the 79th UN General Assembly, attended Wednesday afternoon a working lunch hosted by the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, along with the heads of delegations from the Western Balkan countries.

In addition to Siljanovska Davkova, the working lunch was attended by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović, Montenegro's Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign Policy and European Integration Filip Ivanović, as well as the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák.

As reported by MIA’s correspondent from New York, the working lunch, held at the EU Mission in New York, focuses on discussions about European integration, regional and bilateral cooperation, as well as current global developments.

President Siljanovska Davkova, along with members of the Macedonian delegation, will attend a reception later on Wednesday hosted by U.S. President Joe Biden and his wife on the occasion of the 79th UN General Assembly.
