Skopje, 20 May 2024 (MIA) — President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received Monday Austrian Ambassador Martin Pammer and highlighted the importance of Austria's support for the country's EU membership aspirations.

The President said she expected the country to continue on its European integration path "through a fair accession evaluation based on the Copenhagen Criteria," an official press release said.

"President Siljanovska Davkova stressed her readiness to contribute to providing a national consensus for accelerating the reform agenda in all critical areas noted in the European Commission reports," the release said.

Agreeing with Ambassador Pammer that bilateral ties were friendly, Siljanovska Davkova said she was ready to contribute to their further development in several spheres of mutual interest during her term in office. mr/
