Skopje, 7 December 2021 (MIA) – Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jagoda Shahpaska, First Lady Elizabeta Gjorgievska and Ambassador of PR China to North Macedonia, Zhang Zuo, paid a visit Tuesday to the daycare center for persons with disabilities in Berovo, which is set to be refurbished and equipped through a donation from PR China. The Chinese Embassy is donating Mden 1,54 million (EUR 25,000) to strengthen the center’s services, which covers Berovo and the neighboring municipality of Pehchevo, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy said in a press release. The donation will be used to equip a cabinet for physical and hydro-therapy, as well as a sensory room for children and persons with autism specter disorder. Setting up various and individual social services at a local level is one of the ministry’s priorities. They are aimed at enhancing the beneficiaries’ personal development, said Minister Shahpaska. She thanked the PR China for the support and First Lady Gjorgievska for taking part in the process of electing a daycare centre as the donation beneficiary.
