Several facilities in Ohrid receive false bomb threats

Ohrid, 28 February 2024 (MIA) - Two businesses, one school, a hotel and a taxi company were targets of false bomb threats on Wednesday, said the Ohrid police.

The police received reports around 10 am, and detailed checks confirmed the threats to be false.

The Ohrid police anti-terrorist unit at the Ministry of Interior undertook measures and carried out detailed checks at the locations, which confirmed the threats were false. After the situation clears up, the police in coordination with a public prosecutor, will file appropriate reports, reads the press release.

Earlier, MIA reported there were several false reports of explosive devices in facilities in the industrial zone, located near the city cemetery and the "Bratstvo Edinstvo" primary school. Employees were evacuated, but returned to work soon after. Students were also evacuated. ssh/ik/
