Serbian PM-designate Vučević says North Macedonia more than a partner

Belgrade, 1 May 2024 (MIA) - Serbian PM-designate Miloš Vučević told a parliament session dedicated to the government election on Wednesday that the incoming executive would represent a continuation of the policy of previous governments and President Aleksandar Vučić, MIA reports from Belgrade.

On North Macedonia, Vučević said it would always be more than a partner to Serbia.

"Serbs and Macedonians do not have a single topic that divides them. The Open Balkan project has brought us even closer and the settlement of the church dispute has removed the final obstacle on the path of building mutual trust and joint activities that have not been seen since the breakup of former Yugoslavia," said Vučević.

Vučević also said that Serbia would actively contribute to peace and stability in the region.
