Serbia lifts ban on grain exports
Belgrade, 21 July 2022 (MIA) — The Serbian government has lifted the ban on wheat and corn exports, MIA’s Belgrade correspondent reports. According to Serbia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, the decision was made after experts evaluated wheat reserves after the Serbian harvest. Wheat and corn exports may continue until early fall, when the government will reevaluate key grain reserves. The Serbian government has also approved the bulk export of 4,000 tons of refined sunflower oil. The temporary ban on exporting Eurodiesel EN 590 was extended for another week in light of the global energy crisis and the possibility of a critical shortage of this fuel in Serbia, the government said. mr/
