Sela: Alliance for Albanians remains united and in coalition with European Front

Skopje, 6 July 2024 (MIA) - Ziadin Sela, the President of the Alliance for Albanians, responded Saturday to a journalist’s question about Arben Taravari’s claim that he possesses the party’s official stamps. Sela stated that they are still awaiting the outcome of the legal process concerning the stamps. He emphasized that the most significant “seal” of the party’s legitimacy comes from the votes of the Congress delegates, who have also signed a petition for Taravari’s removal from the position of party president.

Sela addressed accusations from Arben Taravari that the party is applying pressure. Sela questioned who exactly is being pressured, asserting that the Alliance for Albanians does not engage in such tactics. He emphasized that, according to Taravari, the true essence of the party is not the stamps, the headquarters, or the vehicles, but the people.

He addressed the claims made by Arben Taravari regarding the possession of the party’s official stamps. Speaking before the start of the party’s central Assembly, Sela criticized Taravari for making these claims after losing his party membership, as well as failing in presidential and parliamentary elections and losing local support. Sela stressed that the true foundation of the party lies in its members’ activism and dedication.

Sela stated that the fact that ‘Worth It’ program is not included in the government’s agenda, proves that the Alliance for Albanians is not in coalition with ‘Worth It’, but only Taravari is involved. He stated that Taravari’s true goal is to become the Minister of Health to serve his own interests and those of his associates.

When asked about the unity of the Alliance for Albanians' MPs and the current relations with DUI, Ziadin Sela responded that the Alliance for Albanians is united, and that the propaganda and spin being spread on various portals are intended to sow distrust within the party.

“The Alliance for Albanians is in coalition with the European Front, and we have clearly stated our position on this matter. A promise made by the Alliance for Albanians is a promise kept. All political actors, including our political opponents, and the ordinary voter know this,” Sela said.
