SEECP political directors meet in Skopje

Skopje, 8 March 2024 (MIA) - A second meeting of political directors from participants of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), also including representatives of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and the European Union, has taken place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
North Macedonia is currently holding the one-year SEECP Chairpersonship under slogan "Bridging Divides, Building Trust".
The meeting focused on opinion exchange over current developments in the region and their impact on cooperation in the area, the European Union's Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, influence of the geopolitical situation on the EU integration process, as well as current activities of the SEECP Chairpersonship, the MFA said in a press release.
North Macedonia has been part of SEECP since its inception in 1996 and presided over the process on two previous occasions (2000-2001 and 2012-2013). SEECP also includes Türkiye, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Moldova, Montenegro, Slovenia and Kosovo.
